On April 11, 2008 The Ladies of 798 unveiled
the Memorial Wall Project.
A union auxiliary group, the Ladies of 798, dedicated a memorial to honor pipeline builders killed in the line of work or traveling to or from job sites.
The group unveiled the monument during a ceremony at Pipeliners Local Union 798, at 4823 S. 83rd East Ave. The monument behind the union hall lists 90 members who lost their lives.
